Use these questions when reviewing providers and their current policy documents. This is a checklist, not a quote or an insurance application.
Start with eligibility
- Country and state of residence; travelers’ ages.
- All destinations and travel dates, including transit.
- Initial deposit, final-payment and policy-purchase dates.
- Maximum permitted trip length.
Review each benefit
- Emergency medical limits, deductible and payment arrangements.
- Evacuation authorization and transport destination.
- Cancellation and interruption covered reasons and insured costs.
- Delay waiting periods, daily allowances and total limits.
- Baggage exclusions, item limits and documentation.
- Pre-existing conditions, activities and other exclusions.
